  • During the pandemic, most industries were affected by the use of conventional workforce in operations. There was a need to introduce more non-contact operational processes. The cleaning industry is one such sector which has been heavily affected. This gave rise to new innovations to explore automation and robotics in the sector. Coupled with this was the need to train up higher degree of robotic competency in our next generation. This presentation explores the growing needs and programs over the past few years to prepare Singapore for a more resilient smart nation.

  • Mr. Jyrki Latokartano shares the latest developments in the area of industrial robotics in Finland. Presentation will cover the statistics on the annual installation and usage of industrial robots in Finland. Initial information of the new market survey report will also be introduced.
    Some resent highlight of the innovative robot applications will also be introduced by company examples. The Robotics Society in Finland has also strengthened its activities in the field of robotics education and training. We’ll introduce our new Industrial Robot handbook for all people interested in robotizing their manufacturing applications. Finally we’ll give a quick overview of our activities introducing robotics to larger audiences and getting more talent to join the robotics community.
